Poshmark Q&A
Q:
Do you actually recieve the item you purchased?
I recently have received a sweater that was a child sizing. I received a dirty top. Last one I did not even receive the item. Customer Service is horrible basically non-existent. I should have know better I was taken 3 times. Still working on a refund 20days in. Once I receive it I am deleting Poshmark & never shopping with them again. I also filed a report with BBB.

Yes, and sometimes the item I receive looks better than it appears in the photos! Nothing better than that.:) If you don't receive your item, you can NOT accept your package and rate. If you do this it will be hard for Poshmark to refund you. Unless your buyer has given you a good reason as to why they haven't shipped, Press the button that says "Open A case".

Q:
Can I get scammed on poshmark
Yes you can get scammed! I bought a Saint Laurent clutch for $800 on Poshmark. The pictures that seller had posted indicated the clutch to be in excellent condition. Before, making the payment, I asked the seller if there were any scratches, discolouration or defects on the bag and she noted there are not any noticeable scratches on it. The bag had to be shipped to Poshmark headquarters office in Vancouver first for it's authority verification. And they were supposed to do the packaging there. It took them over a week to review the item and finally after they shipped it to me, I was disappointed to find out that they used the cheapest postage which takes one week delivery from Vancouver to Toronto. Shopping from many luxury websites, I was even more disappointed to find the bag was delivered in an old Amazon Prime box. What a packaging for a $800 item! When I opened the box, I became devastated to find out the clutch was in a poor condition with scratches, creases and discolouration all over it. I immediately requested a return with pictures of the actual bag. I would have never bought the bag if I knew the condition was not as described. I was shocked when I received an email from Poshmark the next day advising that they denied my request and the bag is final sale. Now, I opened a dispute in PayPal and I'm confident I'm protected there. What a nightmare and a horrible experience

Absolutely. I did and they not only refused to help, they deleted my account with orders still active when I complained and asked to speak with a supervisor

Sellers are commonly scammed as well. I Had a case where the buyer used my product (makeup, new in boxes) and then took pictures stating it was used blah blah blah. Anyway, I said fine, return my items (5 item bundle). When I got the return back, she KEPT TWO OF MY ITEMS, and naturally two of the most expensive items. So it works both ways. So, she got her money back, and i'm out 2 expensive items PLUS out the items she used/returned which had to be thrown out.

Q:
I want to buy a pair of uggs for 90$, but I don't want to be scammed. Is the problem with the site, or with the users? The user I am buying from is katiebaby1515. If anyone has bought from this user, please tell me if they are legit or not!
I always look at the seller's reviews. But keep in mind that not everyone leaves a review, and, often times, only the good reviews show up. And also a lot of people will give low star reviews but don't provide an explanation. I e had someone give a low star review because the item she bought didn't fit her Even though the item as properly listed. Bottom line: you take s risk with every transaction.

Q:
Who do I contact since my money was debited from my account for a pair of ugg boots that I purchased on poshmark and when I email the seller, she will not respond?
I don't get what you're asking, you're leaving something out were they too small were they not as described? What's the problem?

Sorry for delayed response. I hope you were able to sort this out. Some have revving fed that you not accept the order BUT keep in mind that if you don't accept it and don't notify PM they will automatically release the funds after four days. You must immediately contact CS by email. Email them constantly until they reply. I've been lucky in that they've responded to me quickly. It's frustrating not being able to speak to someone and that is one of the reasons that I prefer to shop and sell on Tradesy. Excellent CS with an actual phone number!

You can go in & cancel the order. I had to do that once but they kept My S&H that I paid for & only refunded Me the item, not the shipping, & it wasn't even My fault that the seller never sent the item. Poshmark Customer Service is horrible, to say the least! Good luck!

Q:
A friend of mine had her first sale - sold boots for $50, the buyer a week later is now selling them for $70 using my picture! Is this allowed?
It is allowed, and it's a large portion of Poshmark's business. Most Poshmark sellers are people who have combed through thrift store bins and sometimes dumpsters to find things to sell. They aren't looking to bring their own value to the table, they're looking to make a couple bucks as a middleman. If you wanna sell your items for what they're worth, I would suggest selling elsewhere.

Well, actually it's against the law to use your pics or anyone's without legal permission. Yes, most sellers on Posh think it's ok but they also steal stock pics off line and other illegal or unethical acts. Most legal certified business owners know what a big deal this is and would never in a million years say things like you got your money, or why is it a big deal or that's how posh is etc. It is all their own perception not fact nor legal. If you at anytime have a copyright or trademark dispute just email posh support and they will help you get the item removed or taken down. They do require you provide pics and it's a frustrating process but it can be done. The moral group mentality of who cares is the reason people feel entitled to do it. Fact is it's illegal and unethical no matter how anyone tries to justify it to themselves. If more people stood up for what is right this would not happen as often. Good for you and politely ask her to remove the pics as they do not belong to her then proceed to contact support at [email protected] and provide proof and they will take it down.

I don't see the issue, they are no longer yours to decide what happens to them. It seems like you are more upset at the fact that you didn't realize that you could have sold them for more. Next time do your research on what the prices of your items are going for, it seems like she did her research...
